The Layers
Ben, Sarah, Mikaela, Maia, & Aleyna
We are sent out as missionaries under the oversight of Bible Baptist Church in Romeoville, Illinois.
We met at Bible college in the late 1990s. In those days, we were both preparing to take the gospel to unreached people groups. We were married just two weeks after finishing college and were appointed as missionaries to Poland later that year.
We moved to Poland in the spring of 2001 with our newborn baby girl, Mikaela. Over the next few years, God blessed us with two more daughters. Maia was born in 2003 in Krakow, and Aleyna in 2008 in Siedlce.
Ministry in Poland
In the last 22 years of ministry in Poland, we’ve had the great privilege of helping with three church plants in the cities of Krakow, Siedlce and Łuków. We have seen God do amazing things, in our own lives and in the Polish nationals’ lives. Souls have been saved and God has united these Christians together to form local churches. He has raised up faithful, young Polish men to lead these churches. What a beautiful blessing it has been to be a small part of what He is doing here.
One of our greatest concerns over the years was how we would raise our children so far from home and a support system. But God has wonderfully blessed our daughters; each of them is maturing into a Christian woman who knows Christ and desires to make Him known.
Both in times of great blessing and in disappointment and trials, God has met our every need. Through times of loneliness, He has sustained us. In times of financial crisis, He has supplied for our physical needs. Time after time, He has proved to be faithful and our future looks as bright as the promises of God.

Doctrinal Statement of Faith
